The ratcheting mechanism gives you the ability for performing one-handed tightening of straps. Removal of straps is as easy as it was to install using the convenient quick release. Our ratchets have a double gear and double pawl design for enhanced performance and reliability. Ratchet buckles are available for strap widths in 1”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 3”, and 4”. Capacity of our ratchet buckles are available from 1760 Lbs, 3000 Lbs, 4400 Lbs, 6600 Lbs, 10000 Lbs, 18000 Lbs, and 20000 Lbs. Please keep in mind that the final capacity of a complete ratchet and strap assembly is determined by the weakest component. Consult with our sales rep to determine the right ratchet buckle for you. These units are not designed to or approved for overhead lifting. Never exceed Safety Working Load. Using corner protectors is recommended to protect webbing and cargo. Do not use any webbing or bungee products that show signs of excessive wear, nicks, cuts, abrasions, worn stitching, chemical burns, holes, or hardware is defective. Safety working load: The maximum load a tie-down should be subject to during normal use. Safe working load should not exceed 1/3 of the rated capacity. Rated capacity: The minimum load a complete assembly will withstand before failure in a laboratory setting when the product is new.

To operate a ratchet Buckle, pull the webbing through the mandrel bars eliminating any slack.Operate the ratchet handle back and forth until the webbing is properly tensioned. The mandrel bars must have at least two wraps of webbing to prevent slippage. To release the webbing, Pullthe handle pawl tothe fully poened position and rotate the handle itself past the center position on the ratchet to the fully open position. Finally. Pull the webbing back through the mandrel slack.
